As Asian Pop Weekly enters its 15th year, the theme โfluffyโ encourages us all to embrace the softest parts of us; and for the femmes, to embrace the divine feminine in all of us.
โStaying fluffyโ is an attitude. A lifestyle. A conscious choice to stay soft despite the hard things in life. As we grow older, it becomes hard to stay โfluffyโ, for fear that others donโt take us seriously, that we wonโt be able to progress in our careers or relationships, that we wonโt be able to achieve big things in life.
But being fluffy is what helps me to appreciate both the big and little things in life. To cushion the falls, and celebrate every single win.
Many of the artists, themes and discussions in our upcoming zine embody this spirit wholeheartedly as we debate about the complexity of gender issues in various music scenes across Asia, play a fun game, and pick the brains of some amazing artists we've gotten to know:
- Foreword by Jocelle
- Fireside Chat with Pyra - On Un-fucking The System One Bit At A Time
- Introduction to Fluffle - Our New Music Collective for Asian Women/Fem-Presenting Individuals in Music
- Girls (Not Allowed): The Sexist Underbelly of Japan's Music Industry by Meg Tanaka

- Noรฉ Solange: 10 Female Producers in Electronica You Should Know
